Community Grants are an opportunity to support new or expanding projects and programs that improve the community vitality of Grey and Bruce Counties. Applications from eligible community service organizations of up to $5,000 will be considered.
To be eligible for a Community Grant from the Community Foundation Grey Bruce, applicants must be a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or a not-for-profit organization sponsored by a qualified donee as defined by the CRA. The organization must provide services within Grey and/or Bruce Counties, with a focus in one or more of the following areas: Children and Youth, Health, Environment, Education, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Poverty Reduction, or Living Standards and Housing. Applications must be submitted online through the Foundation’s website during the designated grant intake period.
All submitted applications are reviewed by a volunteer Grant Review Team made up of community members. This team evaluates proposals based on alignment with the Foundation’s focus areas, overall project impact, and benefit to the Grey Bruce community. After reviewing and discussing the applications, the team’s recommendations are submitted to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, who make the final funding decisions. Applicants are then notified of the outcome.
