
Bumrun Toronto 2026 is a community-driven charity walk/run dedicated to raising awareness and funds for colon cancer screening and prevention. Founded by Toronto gastroenterologist Dr. Ian Bookman, Bumrun has spent over 15 years encouraging early screening while supporting leading colon cancer charities across Canada, raising more than $1.8 million to date.
The Toronto event takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, starting at Queen’s Park and features a 5K walk/run open to all fitness levels, plus a 500-metre “Little Bums” run for children aged 12 and under. Participants can expect a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with post-race refreshments, finisher medals, and event swag.
Bumrun also hosts events across Canada, allowing supporters nationwide to participate. Proceeds support the attached partner charities working in colorectal cancer research, education, and patient care. Additional event dates include:
