Tropicana Community Services is hosting a Black History Month Legacy Panel Discussion to mark the 30th anniversary of Black History Month in Canada. The evening will reflect on the national theme, “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries.”
The event features distinguished leaders including Jean Augustine, the first Black woman elected to Canada’s House of Commons and champion of the motion recognizing Black History Month nationally, and Alvin Curling, former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
Panelists will discuss legacy, leadership, and intergenerational impact, highlighting Black excellence and the ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and community empowerment.
