The Capital Direct VGH+ Gala 2026 is a premier charity event in Vancouver, taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre on November 14, 2026. Hosted by VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, the annual gala brings together health care leaders, philanthropists, business leaders and community members to support the future of health care in British Columbia.
The Capital Direct VGH+ Gala is a major fundraising event building on the legacy of the Vitality Gala. This gala supports groundbreaking medical research, world-class health care teams and life-saving treatments for some of the province’s most complex cases. Every ticket purchased helps fuel health care innovation and advance care for patients across BC.
The evening offers guests an opportunity to connect with community leaders and supporters while contributing to a shared vision for a healthier British Columbia. The 2026 gala marks an exciting new chapter for VGH+ and continues the Foundation’s tradition of bringing the community together to create meaningful impact through philanthropy.
The 2026 Capital Direct VGH+ Gala takes place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, located at 1055 Canada Place in Vancouver.
Event Timings & Evening Schedule
The gala is an evening-long experience featuring structured programming throughout the night:
5:30 PM – Cocktail & Corporate Reception: Doors open at the Vancouver Convention Centre for guest arrival, registration, welcome drinks, and network reception.
6:30 PM – Dinner & Main Program: Guests transition to the grand ballroom for an exquisite multi-course dinner, fine wine, live presentations, impact stories, and live fundraising auctions.
9:30 PM – After-Party & Entertainment: Following the formal program, guests are invited to the official Gala After-Party featuring live music, dancing, and late-night lounge hosting.
