Founded in 1957, Humane Canada is the national voice for animal welfare, representing a federation of SPCAs and humane societies. The organization works to end animal cruelty and improve protection through evidence-based advocacy, legislative reform, and public education. By promoting the "One Welfare" connection between humans and animals, they strive to ensure all animals are recognized as sentient beings. As a transparent, Imagine Canada-accredited nonprofit, Humane Canada unites the sector to drive systemic change and create a more compassionate country for companion animals, livestock, and wildlife alike.
