About Focus on Nature
Focus on Nature is a registered charity in Ontario that encourages children to explore and appreciate the outdoors using photography as a creative tool. Through school-based programs and summer camps, students learn to see the natural world with fresh eyes while building confidence, mindfulness, and self-expression.Since launching in 2009, the organization has reached tens of thousands of young people across multiple school boards with curriculum-linked workshops led by experienced photographers and trained volunteers. By combining environmental education with art and technology, Focus on Nature gives students the chance to slow down, connect with nature, and tell their stories through the lens of a camera.
