The Humanitarian Coalition is Canada's unified approach to international humanitarian response, bringing together leading Canadian aid organizations to provide a coordinated response during major humanitarian crises. As a trusted "one-stop shop" for Canadians wishing to support disaster relief, the Coalition mobilizes public appeals and works to ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches people in need quickly and accountably.

As a registered public foundation, the Humanitarian Coalition does not directly deliver overseas programs. Instead, funds raised are allocated to its member organizations—qualified Canadian charities with humanitarian expertise—which implement life-saving relief and recovery efforts in affected communities around the world.

In 2024, the Humanitarian Coalition launched a major national appeal to support people displaced by the conflict in Lebanon, while continuing to distribute funds raised for ongoing humanitarian responses in Gaza and the West Bank, Sudan, and Ukraine. Through the Canadian Humanitarian Assistance Fund (CHAF), delivered in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, the Coalition also supported rapid responses to emergencies across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America.By fostering collaboration, coordination, and accountability among Canada's leading humanitarian organizations, the Humanitarian Coalition helps maximize the impact of every donation and ensure timely, effective support for communities affected by disasters and conflict worldwide.
