
Open Cockpit Day returns to the Alberta Aviation Museum in Edmonton on September 26, 2026. The family-friendly aviation event gives visitors the opportunity to step inside more than 20 historical aircraft and explore over a dozen open cockpits.
Guests can discover more than 20 historical aircraft, with over a dozen cockpits available to explore. They can also visit the museum’s simulator lab, take part in interactive activities, and learn about Canada’s aviation history while supporting the Alberta Aviation Museum’s work in preservation and education.
The experience also includes access to the museum’s simulator lab, interactive family activities, food vendors, and an event hall featuring organizations from the local community.
Operated by the Alberta Aviation Museum Association, the museum works to preserve aviation history, educate visitors, and celebrate the people and innovations that helped shape flight in Canada.
