Evening of Hope 2026 is Lung Cancer Canada’s annual fundraising event in Montreal, bringing together people living with lung cancer, caregivers, health-care professionals, advocates and community supporters during Lung Cancer Awareness Month. The evening is a time for connection, remembrance and hope while raising awareness about the impact of lung cancer across Canada.
The Evening of Hope is more than a charity event. It is an opportunity to honour loved ones who have been lost to lung cancer, celebrate those living with and beyond the disease, and recognize the strength of patients, families and caregivers. The 2025 event was held in six Canadian cities, including Montreal, alongside a national virtual experience.
The evening features stories from people with lived experience, tributes to loved ones, inspiring messages from health-care and community leaders, and opportunities for connection. Together, participants help shine a light on the urgent need for greater awareness, better access to care and continued investment in lung cancer research and support.
Funds raised through the Evening of Hope help Lung Cancer Canada advance its work in advocacy, research, education and patient and caregiver support. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in Canada and continues to face significant stigma and underfunding, making community engagement and fundraising an important part of creating change.
The Montreal Evening of Hope is part of Lung Cancer Canada’s national Lung Cancer Awareness Month activities. Details about the 2026 Montreal date, venue, registration and event program will be announced by Lung Cancer Canada.
