Celebrate animals, community, and compassion at Kenneled for a Cause Block Party, AARCS' largest annual fundraising event, returning to Calgary on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Hosted at the AARCS Safe Haven, this family-friendly charity event features adoptable dogs and cats, food trucks, local vendors, live music from a DJ, face painting, games, prizes, and activities for all ages. One of the day's highlights is the Kenneled for a Cause Challenge, where dedicated volunteers become "Very Important Pet Supporters (VIPS)" by spending the day inside the shelter's dog runs while fundraising to earn their release.
Every dollar raised helps the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome vulnerable animals while providing veterinary care, shelter, and community support programs throughout Alberta.
