The Nassau Foundation is conducting a comprehensive study on the causes, challenges, and long-term effects of food insecurity and homelessness in Nassau, Bahamas. This research aims to identify systemic barriers that prevent individuals from accessing consistent meals and stable housing
Through data collection, interviews, and partnerships with local shelters and policymakers, we will analyze trends in hunger, unemployment, mental health, and housing instability. The findings will be used to develop evidence-based solutions, inform advocacy efforts, and strengthen our meal programs and support services.
By understanding the root causes, we can better address food insecurity and work toward sustainable, long-term solutions for those in need.
