Muscular Dystrophy Canada is a national health charity that supports more than 27,000 Canadians living with neuromuscular disorders, as well as their families, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The organization provides practical support through equipment and access grants, personalized guidance and navigation services, educational resources, advocacy, and funding for research.
Since its founding in 1954, Muscular Dystrophy Canada has worked with communities across the country to improve quality of life, advance treatments, and help people living with neuromuscular conditions access the support they need. Canada’s neuromuscular community includes people living with more than 100 different types of neuromuscular disorders.
