About Yarmouth Hospital Foundation
The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, established in 1970, is a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, which serves over 58,000 residents in Yarmouth, Digby, and Shelburne counties. The foundation focuses on connecting donor generosity to the hospital's needs, ensuring the provision of quality healthcare services. Through fundraising efforts, the foundation has contributed to the purchase of essential medical equipment and services, including CT scanners, portable X-ray and ultrasound units, infant ventilators, and upgrades to various hospital departments.
Beyond equipment funding, the foundation supports healthcare initiatives such as community grants and nursing scholarships, aiming to improve healthcare delivery and accessibility in the Tri-Counties. With a commitment to integrity, accountability, and community engagement, the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation continues to play a pivotal role in advancing healthcare excellence in the region.
