Comprehensive September 2026 Awareness Calendar
CharityAxess has compiled a comprehensive list of September 2026 awareness months, weeks, and days for quick reference. These observances highlight important health, education, social, cultural, environmental, and community causes recognized across Canada and around the world.
September includes campaigns focused on cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, literacy, recovery, disability awareness, mentorship, mental health, inclusion, peace, and reconciliation. Charities, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, schools, advocacy groups, and community leaders use these dates to educate the public, share resources, support affected communities, raise funds, and encourage meaningful action.
The month concludes with Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. These observances honour residential school Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and encourage Canadians to learn about the continuing impacts of the residential school system.
